Desert Dew Guest House
Desert Dew Guest House is situated on Modderfontein Farm in the Victoria West area, 35 km from Three Sisters on the N1. The guesthouse does have an entrance from the N12.
The guesthouse has recently been beautifully expanded on demand. The “Vellewaenhuis”, meaning ‘The Shed’ in Afrikaans, was converted, and now boasts 3 self-catering chalets. These units are modern, and ideal for a family stay. There are 6 rooms available, and 3 self-catering chalets. All of the rooms are spacious, and the 2 luxury rooms have an en-suite bath and shower. Bed linen and towels are included.
The farm can sleep 32 people in total, and offers accommodation to suit all tastes.
If guests enjoy good old-fashioned Karoo cooking with a modern twist, then Desert Dew Guest House farm kitchen is for you. From fresh eggs from the farm to delicious Karoo lamb and seasonal veggies, ones taste buds will be spoilt.
Horseshoe mountain, on the farm, is the highest point between Cape Town and Johannesburg in a straight line. Desert Dew Guesthouse is the halfway stop between Cape Town and Gauteng, the perfect place to unwind before the long journey. There are also 6 natural springs on the farm, hence the name Desert Dew.
There is a 14 km dirt road to the guesthouse.
