Desert Dew Guest House is situated on Modderfontein Farm in the Victoria West area, 35 km from Three Sisters on the N1. The guesthouse does have an entrance from the N12.
The guesthouse has recently been beautifully expanded on demand. The “Vellewaenhuis”, meaning ‘The Shed’ in Afrikaans, was converted, and now boasts 3 self-catering chalets. These units are modern, and ideal for a family stay. There are 6 rooms available, and 3 self-catering chalets. All of the rooms are spacious, and the 2 luxury rooms have an en-suite bath and shower. Bed linen and towels are included.
The farm can sleep 32 people in total, and offers accommodation to suit all tastes.

Horseshoe mountain, on the farm, is the highest point between Cape Town and Johannesburg in a straight line. Desert Dew Guesthouse is the halfway stop between Cape Town and Gauteng, the perfect place to unwind before the long journey. There are also 6 natural springs on the farm, hence the name Desert Dew.
Kalkfontein Safari’s farmhouse is situated between Britstown and Victoria-West. We offer two bedrooms in the main house one with two single beds with a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom and a second room with two single beds with a separate full bathroom. We offer lovely three asbes rondavels that is fully equipped with a kitchen (sharing) with a patio ideal for entertaining. The rondavels have each two single bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower and share a living area and a boma with braai/BBQ facilities. No air conditioning in rondavels, so no accommodation available between November and end of February at rondavels.
Jasfontein Farm Self-catering is situated on a working merino sheep farm. The farm is located a mere 18 km from Victoria West, a peaceful and tranquil Karoo town on the N12 highway.
This self-catering unit comprises a queen-size bed and a single bunker bed, ideal for children. An extra mattress can be added for a fifth person. The unit has a small kitchenette and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is a private braai area, wood and braai packs will be available. The unit is fully equipped and also has full DStv and air-conditioning. All towels are provided.
The farm Skietkuil is situated on the N1, halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town. It is also a quiet, scenic stopover for those traveling form Port Elizabeth to the West coast or Namaqualand. (R63)

Skietkuil Holiday Farm offers five spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated units. Two with fully equipped kitchens. There are air cons, DStv, electric blankets, home made rusks and dry cereals with milk in every room.
Guests can relax with a refreshment out of their honesty fridges or at the bar in the entertainment area. From the farm kitchen comes fine country cuisine, Karoo lamb, beef and venison, prepared to your preference with home grown selection of fresh farm vegetables. Dinner are served in the restaurant.
A traditional barbeque under the Karoo stars is also a favourite, braai packs are offered.
English breakfast are served on request.
Karoo Koelte B&B is a located in an old homestead in Victoria West, Northern Cape and offers guests a choice of comfortable rooms.
Guests can book 1 of 4 en-suite rooms, one of which is disabled friendly, or 1 of the 2 self-catering units. The self-catering units, Woonstel and Withuis, is situated separately from the main house and has kitchenettes that are equipped with a fridge, a stove and a microwave. The en-suite rooms, Stoepkamer, Pers Kamer, Oranje Kamer and Groen Kamer, are furnished with double or twin beds and have a bathroom with either a bath or a shower.
Each of the rooms is individually decorated, and for comfort, the rooms are air-conditioned or equipped with fans. Percale linen, as well as tea and coffee facilities with homemade rusks and biscuits are provided. The rooms are also equipped with TVs with DStv and local channels, and in winter electric blankets, as well as wall-mounted heaters, are available. The rooms are non-smoking and they are serviced daily.
Karoo Koelte B&B has been tested by a wheelchair user. Breakfast is available at an additional cost and dinner is available on request in advance.
The former “Victoria-Wes Hotel” was renovated in September 2016 and reopened as Merino Junction in December 2016. It’s a stunning countryside hotel bring the former Karoo hospitality back to life.
Guests can choose between family rooms or double rooms. Each family room has a double bed and a bunk bed, and each double room has a double bed. Each room also has air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
All the rooms have bar fridges, microwaves, tee and coffee making facilities and TV’s with DStv. The rooms are serviced daily. Braai facilities and safe parking are available.
Merino Junction offers an a la carte restaurant, coffee shop and licensed bar. Modern conference facilities are also available. Several shops with hand-crafts, decor, gifts and wool products are also available on the premises.
Moonlight Manor is located in the small upper Karoo town of Victoria West, halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town on the N12 via Kimberley, and merely 45 km from the N1. Behind the property, situated at the foot of Moonlight Hill, begin various hiking trails which lead to spectacular views over the Karoo landscape and the unique collection of Victorian houses in town
Kingwill’s Guest House offers comfortable accommodation in 4 cottages built in the late 1800’s which have been renovated into 8 tatsefully decorated en-suite bedrooms. Kingwill’s Guest House is situated in the town of Victoria West in the Northern Cape.
